    Sarah Mariann Martland (she/they) is the founder and director of Trauma & Co, an online project focusing on trauma and the complex intersections with being human. Sarah is a trauma support practitioner and consultant, providing online individual and community support to people living or working with trauma.


    Sarah is a queer human who lives with complex trauma, chronic illness and neurodiversity. She is also a writer who advocates for humanizing trauma and prioritizing lived experience. All her work is based upon person-centered, consent-based, non-pathologizing, anti-oppressive practices and principles.


Sarah Mariann Martland, the founder and director of Trauma & Co., talks about the importance of humanizing rather than pathologizing trauma and bringing in more compassion and understanding of coping mechanisms as trauma responses. Interview by Jaia Bristow.
